Walk Team Captain's Kick Off was a great success! We had over 125 people in attendance and excited about fundraising for this year's Walk to Cure Diabetes. The Team Captain's Kick Off was held at the Mississippi Museum of Art in downtown Jackson. Marlys Myers was our personal perspective speaker and did a great job encouraging participation from both corporate and family teams. We would like to announce that Kyle McCoy of Howard Industries has been named our Walk Corporate Chair. We are excited and ready for this year's Walk Season. Our 2nd annual Gulf Coast Walk to Cure Diabetes was held on Satuday, May 14th, 2011 at Bayou View Park in Gulfport, MS. A special thanks to our sponsors Picadilly's, Newk's, Tower Loan, Dr. Eric Hyde, DDS, White Cap Seafood, and Smoothie King. We had a great turn out with nearly 200 walkers and raised an astounding $25,000. Thank you to all that came out and enjoyed the day with us!
